KLH R7000 Replacement

my KLH R7000 just crapped out on me, it will switch between inputs but i dont get any audio, i get audio on FM/AM but only if i hit the mute button twice, any ideas on how to fix this is there a master reset to default trick i can try ?
if its not worth fixing anyone have any suggestions for a sub-$200 replacement ?

I know the two things I'd check is to see if the "monitor" (it's sometimes used as a loopback for either an eq or tape and if nothing is connected then sometimes some AVRs stay silent) setting is on or if it has a headphone setting to "on" turn it to "off" (some of these mute the output so the sub doesn't blare while listening to your system).
