URC-8910 and STR DE-895

Hello, HT friends. I was just wondering if anyone out there has a OneforAll URC-8910 remote and successfully have been able to operate their STR-DE895 receiver with it. I tried the Audio Amp and Audio Received codes, but to no avail. I figured I'd ask here before I call their support line and act silly.

Thanks, and Merry Christmas!

check hifi-remote.com for all questions regarding the OFA remotes. Someone has codes for that device, I can almost guarantee it.

Sony has 2 audio type codes (AV1 and AV2). Builtin codes are almost all AV1. Check the Sony owners manual to see if you can change the receiver to AV1 (many new receivers default to AV2 nowadays). If you can set it to AV1 then builtin codes will probably work. Otherwise you would need to upgrade the remote , either using the phone upgrade option or going the JP1 route (very powerfull but a steep learning curve).
