Questions about Yamaha RX-V1400 setting and connection
Hi High Hands,
I am a newbie in A/V and I found it difficult to understand after I have read the RX-V1400 serveral times, please help me for the following doubts:
1) I still do not have any idea to get the setting (OSD) display in my TV. Please tell me which type of connection (component video or composite video) is necessary to connect the RX-V1400 to the TV. Which plug in the RX-V1400 I have to plug in for me to get the OSD screen
2) Is that only I got a 7.1 speaker then I can trigger the DPLIIx function??
3) I have read the following comments:
" To get PLIIx using 5.1 sources on my 1400, I just hit DD then set EX/ES to ON then hit the > or + key to cycle through the back channel options. These include PLIIx Movie and PLIIX Music. OSD clearly shows DD and PLIIx when I do this. I think it just does not work for THX."
It seems only using OSD display, then I can selection the cycle option, and what about without the OSD display, can I still manage to see the selection on the amp'own display window!!??
4) After using the PLIIx option, can I still using other DSP mode adding to it and let them working together. Or I have to stick to using the sound effect provided by the PLIIx only!!??
