New receiver or add an amp?

Looking for suggestions for which would be the best option for my speaker upgrade, M&K 851 and SW50 should arrive on Friday.

I have a Yamaha rx-v596 now, should I add an amp or upgrade the receiver?

These are what I've looked into so far,
Denon 3805
Pioneer Eltie 54tx

Any other brands that I should consider?

Know nothing about amps. Also have hardwood flooring, so don't want anything that's going to be too bright.

I'd stick with the receiver you've got before making a descision on upgrading. It's highly probable that your receiver will be perfectly adequate.

Not a chance with that Yamaha and M&K speakers. I've owned the 5xx line and they can't cope with 4ohm speakers.
