HK 630 odd feature
I've been auditioning an HK 630 on home trial for a week and have noticed that I don't have as much control over the receiver as I would like.
For instance, right now I've got my cd player hooked up via the digital coax and am playing a CD. It sounds good but I can't turn off the bass management. I press the 'stereo' button on the remote and can toggle between 5-channel and surround off but can't turn off DSP. It says in the manual that I should be able to. This morning I managed to do it with the output from the cable TV so I'm confused.
BTW, I have no sub and I've set that up in the HK's menu.
Another issue is that I can't turn Logic 7 on sometimes. I think this is connected with the fact that the Hi-def channels on cable are broadcast in Dolby digital with only 2 channels active. I can use PLII, but not Logic 7.
Are these 'features' of the HK or am I doing something wrong. I'm guessing the latter is the case.
