My old Denon 3300 got struck by lightning and is fried, so I am going to have to replace it. I went to Ultimate Electronics yesterday and they have both the 2805 and 3803 in stock for basically the same price. I would like to get the 3805, but it is a little out of our price range with the other stuff we have to replace.
My question is, which one of these receivers is better? On the website, there wasn't a .pdf file that specifically compared these that I could find. Their specs sheets looked similar. I know the 2805 is newer, but is it better? At the same price, which of these would you buy? I have Klipsch reference series speakers all around and I loved the way they sounded with the 3300. This will be used almost exclusively for HT purposes...very little music listening.
