What do you think of this Sony Receiver?
I am looking at the following Sony receiver:
Sony STR-DE995B 110 Watts per Channel x7, Dolby Digital, DTS and Dolby Pro-LogicII,
1.)Does anyone have any opinions on it?
2.)Are there any features that it is missing that it should have for the price?

My opinion is at LEAST get the 1000ES. Don't bother with the DE line at all.

Do a comparison on their site. There should be a link to compare their products. I have an ES, and love it. Very flexable...

The ES line has better build quality and uses higher quality components resulting in better sound. In terms of functionality and flexibility, the DE line is already quite good, but the ES line is a notch better. The 1000ES can likely be found for not much more than the 995. What speakers will you be driving?

I have some Eosone speakers that I have had for about 7 years now that have a powered sub. Not sure how good the speakers really are, or how good of a company Eosone is, or if they are still around?

I believe Eosone is gone or at least bought out. I remember them, they used a bi-polar arrangement. If they still sound good to you, stick with them for now.
