I just picked up the audio for my HT in progress. Let me know what you guys think. Anyone else running these components?

I've got nothing pro or con against what you bought, but was there a reason why you decided to go all Yamaha?

Yeah the owner of the AV shop I deal with is good friends with one of the Yamaha Reps so they gave me a sweet deal.

$2k out the door, I shopped around and was getting quotes of $3800 - $4200 from other shops.

If you need an opinion, you should ask us before you buy the items. Coming in here after the purchase just seems like you are trying to validate your purchase.

With that being said, I was quite surprised at how the Yamaha speakers sounded when I heard them. I didn't like the last generation of their speakers, but the current generation actually sounds pretty good. However, like any other buying situation, several products should be tested to see how the products sound to you.
