My stereo consists of an Onkyo TX-8511 receiver and Merak MT66 floorstanding speakers. Amazing setup, considering it cost ~$250 when i bought it in `01. Anyway, i think its time for me to dabble in 5.1 for my new projector. I use my motherboard's built-in sound (stereo only, but a piece of cake to upgrade to a 5.1-capable sound card) to play music through my receiver, but i now would like to have: 1. A HTiB that can extend rather than replace my current receiver. 2. A sub that can complement my current speakers. Is it possible?
