On the subject of accuracy, I just have a question for the geekiest objectivists:

How do you choose speakers? Do you base your decision on FR of the speaker? On distortion levels of the speaker? Or how it sounds? Also if you say one speakers sounds better than the other do you establish that in a true level matched DBT?

The truth is not out there but within you.

A lot of misinformation in your post. First of all, a proper DBT is used to establish the presence or absence of differences, not preferences. NO one disputes that speakers sound different AND that the differences are due to real, significant differences in speaker design AND that the differences would be heard in a DBT. That is NOT the case with well designed amps that aren't being operated outside of their design limits. So, since it's a GIVEN that speakers sound different, the comparison to amps doesn't apply. A combination of listening and comparing objective performance makes the most sense.

It's not a beer belly, it's an organic resonator
