Denon 3803 $519 @ecost

http://www.ecost.com/ecost/shop/detail.asp?DPNo=132913

Forgive me if it has already been posted. Seems like a good deal. Refurb yes, but Denon authorized. You can also grab the DVD2200 which they have now for 289. Solid combo.

I gave up on tracking my collection and actually started watching what I have.

Any jumped on this, or have any opinions/experience with Denon Refurb products?

I haven't jumped on it, nor do I plan to but I bought a refurbed 2700 about 5 years ago (from spidergear) and haven't had any problems.

It seems like eCost is at it again - price the item at a very good price, but charge $57.95 for ground shipping to my location.

I just bought a DVD-2200 so we'll see. You can always look up the reputation of ecost, but from memory, it's a bit of a mixed bag.

Their products though? They're Denon authorized to be selling their refurbs. So that menas you get a 90 day warranty with Denon. That should alleviate any concern there.

I shall add that if ecost were a bad dealer selling bad products, they wouldn't be in business. Obviously they're doing something right.

I have bought 3 Denon 2200 from eCost and they were all in Like New Condition. I have bought about 100 things from them in the last couple of years and only had 1 problem which was taken care of. As far as they are at again with shipping. The Denon 3803 weighs about 50lbs shipped so of course shipping is going to be a few buck.

The nice thing about eCost is if the item weighs under 30lbs it qualifies for free ground shipping like the Denon 2200.

By the way they are all out of both the 3803 and the 2200. You have to be quick when they arrive because they won't last longer then a few hours sometimes.

Can the Denon 2200 play both PAL and NSTC?
Can it play movies from region 2,1?

PC Mall has them listed for $529 and $37 shipping.

http://www.pcmall.com/pcmall/shop/de...sp?dpno=132913

Are they a authorized denon dealer?

PCMall are authorized yes. Check Denon's website to verify.

And BarOr, there's another thread dealing with the 2200 in the forum where it should be (A/V sources).

I believe PC Mall and eCost are owned by the same parent company.

Also, in regards to Denon receivers, there's a used AVR-3802 for only $400 at Videogon.com
