You can set the MC-8 up to have two sets of 5.1 analog inputs. You sacrifice your ordinary analog inputs (I think you are left with only one pair), but you can have separate DVD-Audio and SACD players. If you need your ordinary analog inputs, one alternative would be a "Fogg" box. Check the Lexicon forum for more information.

An upcoming episode has not yet been scheduled. Please check back later.

Zektor also makes a switcher for 2 5.1 analog inputs.

If it's not worth waiting until the last minute to do, then it's not worth doing.

The analog input combinations on the MC-8 can be one of the following:
  • Stereo inputs: 8, 5.1 inputs: 0
  • Stereo inputs: 5, 5.1 inputs: 1
  • Stereo inputs: 2, 5.1 inputs: 2

If you don't need anything but SACD, you can look at stuff like the Sony ES players...but that's for another thread.

I gave up on tracking my collection and actually started watching what I have.
