Repairing a 20 year old Carver Receiver 900

I have a 20 year old Bob Carver Receiver 900 that needs repaired. I put this into storage several years ago when a high pitched tone is present whenever I used this receiver. The tone gets louder when I increase the volume basically driving me so nuts that I cannot listen to it. I would like to get this back up and running to use it to play CD's in another room. My current setup (Sony DA1ES / Polk RM6200 / PSW250) does not sound as good playing CD's as I remember my Carver 900 / Phase Tech PC 50/60 (I think that is the model number) sat/ subwoofer setup did years back.

Can anyone recommend a reputable (and hopefully at a reasonable cost) repair shop either locally (Champaign IL) or somewhere where I can ship it off to to have this repaired?

Thanks in advance

Jeffrey

I found this site: Carver Audio
There is a 1-800 number and a reference to
Sunfire (I think Bob Carver created Sunfire). I also noticed a forum there.
Hope this helps. I had a Carver receiver years ago, great sound, wish I still had it. Good luck with your repair search.
