Upgrading kenwood VR-605
I have a Kenwood VR-605 which is nothing special but it does the job. I was thinking about upgrading to one of the Onkyo, or Yamaha models (around $300) with DTS-ES and DD-EX. I was wondering if I would notice any improvement in sound quality by switching to one of these receivers. My speakers are not that great (Sony SS-MB100h for the rears, 495H for the Center, and SSMF-400h for mains, w/ SAWM-40 subwoofer). Or would I also need to upgrade my speakers to hear any difference? My setup is in a small room, so volume is not the problem, just clarity and crispness.
