Dts, Dps, Dsp, Omg, Help Me

Can someone point me to where I can get the lowdown on all the dolby surround variations, dsp, dps, etc.

I can't for the life of me figure out which ones are mutually exclusive, meaning, they are different nodes on the heirarchial tree of modes.

Or if anyone can explain what does what and which is the best, I'd really appreciate it. I am using a pioneer vsx-d912k reciever
