Buying a receiver next week!! Onkyo 701 or Yamaha 1400 ?!

Hi Guys, I need your help again.

I've managed to narrow my search down to these 2 receivers.
I can roughly get the Onkyo 701 or the Yamaha 1400 brand new for the same price.
Of course both are THX Select.

Has anyone had any experience with the two?
Which would you choose and why?
I would use the receiver for all purposes (music, movies, video games from computer and x-box).

I prefer Yamaha. Does it come with its own SPL meter device? I noticed Yamaha has now incorporated that with their receivers...I don't know if its included in the whole lineup though or just at the high end.
