I would like to put the basic building blocks of a HT together in place in hopes I can add on to it in the next few months.
I am looking to get a pretty basic system as I am not a super audiophile but I thought this would allow me to get a stereo and upgrade the audio for television viewing.
I currently have a Hitachi 36UDX10S screen and Hitachi DV-P325U DVD player (that I will probably upgrade as well).
I will be watching mainly DirecTV, DVDs and listening to CDs with this equipment.
I would like opinions on this plan as well some equipment purchases from the well informed folks on these forums.
* For a receiver I am contemplating between the Harman Kardon AVR130 and the Onkyo TXSR501.
* For main speakers I am considering Polk R20, Infinity PRIMUS150, JBL Northridge N28
Down the road I will probably look at upgrading/adding:\
** DVD player: I am looking at Sony DVPNC685V, Onkyo DVCP701
** Surround speakers and Subwoofer.
Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?
