Problem with H/K AVR 520 and DTS

Hello to all. I have a problem with my 520 giving me DTS output. I just got a new JVC prog scan player and when I want to play a DTS dvd it goes to Surround Off mode.

It will not let me even go to DTS when I press the button on remote or rec. itself. I can press the DTS neo button and it works on both. Yes I have selected DTS on the dvd as well.

Dolby Digital works fine. Every thing else works fine as well. I have a monster coax from rec to player.

Do I have something hooked up wrong? I am confused.

Thanks to all who respond,

Beau

There is a PCM / Bitstream setting that can have some bearing on this sort of thing too. I think in the DVD player setup.

Yes, your DVD player's settings are almost certainly the cause. This is asked so often, it is in the FAQ:

Per the above post, it should be set to bitstream not PCM.
