2 channel amps

So pretty much i am driving myself crazy with all of the possiblities for a home theater system...i have been toying with the possiblity of a two channel amp for mains which i don't have (studio 40's or 60's, or something i haven't heard yet). I have been searching and can't find much pricing info...is it even possible to get a good 2 channel amp for less than $500, in the range of 150W per channel or more...if so, which ones and how much? I have just started researching external amps...so could you please give some ideas of amps, and also what to look? Take into consideration that i know next to nothing about good and bad amps...

Thanks for the help, as always

Mike

Now they show you how detergents take out bloodstains, a pretty violent image there. I think if you\'ve got a T-shirt with a bloodstain all over it, maybe laundry isn\'t your biggest problem. Maybe you should get rid of the body before you do the wash.

Mike,

I recently picked up a Rotel RB-990BX (2 X 200wpc) from a fellow in Columbus...$375...found it on Audiogon.com

Glad to see you get linked up with the Cleveland HTF Local Meet group. I have met George and Ferdinand, both great guys.

Good luck in your amp search!!
