I don't think the 330 is a replacement for the AVR-525. You'll have to get up to the AVR-630 to get in the replacement league for the AVR-525.

They are. However, you have to replace the old model number with the new one. (e.g. - replace 525 with 630, etc.) - and this will bring up the information on the new receiver.

Actually, I just checked, and could not bring up the details on the 630 with the method I suggested.

It didwork a few weeks ago- but then they removed them all. Since then the others have been replaced online as they were announced- but the 630 still hasn't.

I think I am one of the few people that like the looks of the 125,325,525s over the newer models. I'd say if you are actually going to use the 7.1 then go for the 525, else pick up the 330.

I agree. The only big upgrade I see with all of these recievers is the AVR-230. From the AVR-225 it offers an extra channel from 5.1 to 6.1, and it offers component video, as well as some extra surround modes..

The 525 is definantly a keeper. Like said, the only thing that would be a relpacement is the 630 or the AVR-7200.
