Denon 2803 or Yamaha RX-V1400

I have been considering these two receivers and am looking for opinions on them both. I have Monitor 7's as my main speakers. Please give me your reasons for both or other suggestions in the $800 range.

Both are going to provide you with good results. The Yamaha is newer and offers a few more features. A lot of people say the Yamaha receivers are a little bright but the 1400/2400 series has seemed to fix this issue. The Mic setup on the Yamaha is very cool too. Denon makes great products, if there is anyway you can audition both with the MOnitor 7s that would be your best bet.

Good luck

I have the 1400 powering Rockets and a svs. I had the Denon 1803 which I am selling. It is very similar to the 2803. The Yamaha has an increase in power and the new YPAO feature which seems to work great with my system and in my listening room. I did not notice much of a change between them as far as sound quality goes.
