Bass Shaker Hookup

Is this correct:

split the sub signal from my main receiver. one run to my sub, and the other into the aux input of a second receiver, thereby sending only low freq. to the shakers wired to this receiver.

does this make sense?

Yes, this makes sense. The second receiver is receiving the same signal as the sub.
