HK7200 or Rotel 1055

Hi I mostly do Home theater these days and the speakers are B&W matrix series. Any thoughts as to which of these two receivers would work best.

Thanks

Ron

Given that Rotel and B&W go together so well i'd seriously consider the Rotel. Esp considering the supperior support and user groups available for the Rotel.

Rotel and B&W work together in partnership. I think Rotel actually tunes their equipment to B&W speakers. That's why there are so many independent stores that carry both these brands. I will openly admit a bias for Rotel products, but that's because I own, use, and love how they sound. This, by the way, in no knock on HK. I've listened to their receivers many times and feel they are one of the better manufacturers of receivers. I just like the Rotels better, exclusive or independent of B&W speakers.

Only your ears can be the judge, so try both. That said, the Rotel is an excellent piece of gear.

Some reviews can be found here:

The Secrets review in particular is very good:

Unlike Dana I disagree but everyone will have there own opinions. I love the HK sound... you have to listen to see what you like better.
