Anyone own the NAD Silver Series equipment?

I just think its kind of odd that you never hear anything from owners of this equipment. Never seen a review or anyone say they have the pre/pro...never heard it compared to the rotel or the anthem or adcom or anything...just weird. I mean, NAD has such a long and good history, and you would think they would have a following that drooled over and bought these pieces and talked about them.

i don't own them but i've heard them and i'll say they sound REALLY good, i wouldn't even consider a rotel. If i had the 2k i would switch out my hk520 for the s170.

Been out at least a year and a half, and probalby longer. Never heard anything about updates, etc. I bet NAD has not sold a lot of these.

Hey, I read about those too when I was sepeartes shopping!
Couldn't find enough on them and that made me discount them.

Now they have some new stuff comimg out according to the "Secrets" website.
http://www.hometheaterhifi.com/newsf...mp-9-2003.html

I wonder if they are gonna try to compete with the new Integra seperates that have just come out.

Gee maybe Pio Elite and Denon will jump on the seperates band wagon.

Well, the Silver series did exist and like Rich W. said, about that long ago.
These, mentioned on "Secrets", I don't think are out yet (Oct. was mentioned at the bottom of the article) and whether it will be a Silver series replacement, I don't know.
I was under the impression that the Silver series was a step up form their regular line.

the silver series was their premium line, still make them i think, can buy them still, just never saw anyone own them, i think the price range on the pre/pro is/was around $3k...

i think the T163 is aimed at rotel, outlaw, and adcom...
