Is the Sony DE695 a good Budget Receiver?

I've been looking at receivers but as the finances are tight I cannot afford a whole lot. The Sony DE695 goes for $400 CDN and has all the features I want. But I must ask is it a good receiver?

It'll probably only be a temporary one for about a year or a little more wen the finances are not so tight.

So has anyone had experience with this receiver and is it good for being a budget receiver

The speakers that I got are

JBL ND310IIs (fronts)
JBL N24's (rears)
JBL N-Center (center channel)
Velodyne 10" sub

Thank you in advance

Take a look/listen to Onkyo, Denon, Marantz and Harman Kardon in the same price range before you go with anything from the Sony DE lineup. The DE line may have all the features, but the amp section has never been much to speak of.
