Denon 3803 and Component output

I think I'll be getting the Denon 3803. The item that pushed me over the fence is the Component output to the TV.

My equipment will be rather far from the TV (about 25ft) and I want to run only one cable.

Will there be any degradation in my High Def signal coming from my cable box through the Denon to my TV?

thanks...

g

George:

I have been using a 25 foot cable connecting my Denon 3803 to my Sony HS10 projector with no noticeable signal degradation in hdtv or dvds.

Normally, till approx 30 ft, there should be no visible degradation if you are using a good quality cable.

BTW, any reason why you don't want to connect your dvd player directly to the TV instead? Is it that your dvd player doesn't have component output? Just curious
