Help! Problem with my new Kenwood VR-6050

Bought it yesterday, worked fine until today. Tried to play a dvd in DTS, and got crackles and pops from the speakers, no sound. Put it back on DD, and i get sound for a matter of seconds, then a crackling sound and then the sound goes out completely. Switched it to the tuner (stereo mode) and get the crackling again. Reset the recievers cpu...still happens. About 1 hr later after messing with every setting possible...ive made it about 1/2 way thru gangs of new york and heard one "crackle" from a speaker, but the sound hasn't gone out again.

What the heck is going on with this thing?

Should I return it?

Thanks!

I'd return it if possible. I saw that Best Buy had that receiver for $190(open box)today.

I returned it today. It was a good deal, i got it for $155 at best buy, but I've had it with kenwood. My old dd kenwood's remote sensor died about 3 months after i got it.

So, I returned it to BB today, and went to CC and got an Onkyo for $199. Much happier with the onkyo so far.

Thanks.

I think you will be happier with the Onkyo IMO.
