That is an awesome deal for that receiver go for it. Here in Canada the AVR 525 is $1800CAD that = to $1178USD so your saving $500USD
Plus that is an awesome receiver.

Buy or let me know where you are getting it from so I can.

I\'m still typing with a broke hand and it sucks.

Colton:

Where did you buy the receiver from?

I ask because I've heard a lot of unfavorable stories about some less-than-savory internet vendors. These vendors aren't authorized HK dealers, and their products are often compromised in one way or another (serial number filed off, stolen, etcetera). Hopefully you bought from a legitimate retailer (and if so, more power to you), but there's always the chance that you didn't. If it WAS from a non-authorized dealer, I'm pretty sure that HK will not honor the warranty.

I'm not trying to rain on your parade or anything, but it's something that merits consideration given the number of unsavory retailers popping up on the 'net so often.

I believe JandR (and authorized HK dealer) sells the AVR 525 for $650 plus shipping. You have to email them to get the quote, but that's what it was the last time I checked.

I bought mine from ecost.com for $618 with free shipping. It was brand new and all serial numbers were in place.

Just so folks will know, ecost currently offers the H/K 525 for $649 with free shipping. Since this thing weighs 50lbs or so that is a good deal. Honestly, I'd do a price match to JandR since they're authorized - they will probably match.
