Receiver Help

I'm looking to purchase a new receiver I only want it for movies. I'm willing to spent but to 1,000.00. I currently have a Sony STR-SE391 and it lacks something. Can any body give me a few good receivers to look into to?

I have had a great experience with my H/K. You might want to give them a listen.

You can also check out various receivers from Yamaha the likes of RXV-800, RXV-1 RX-Z1, RXV-1300.

Yamaha's quad field DSP modes give awesome movie sound. Much improvement over regular plain vanila DTS, Dolby Pro Logic modes.

Their Spectacle and Adventure modes make even a small room sound like a big theater.
