I've seen The Manitou, but it's been way too long. I'll refresh my memory with the upcoming AB DVD.

I've got THREE ON A MEATHOOK sitting here to watch and I plan on hitting more blaxploitation next year. Girdler was from Louisville and many of his films were shot here including ABBY. I've been going to quite a few bars the past couple months with friends and I was in one with all sorts of ABBY lobby cards and posters. I asked the owner what was up with that and he told me part of the movie was filmed there. I certainly plan on going back to watch it and see how the bar has changed since the 70's.

Have Sheba, Baby on my rental list. I'll have to look for Abby, hadn't heard of it before.

Re: DIRECTOR CHECKLIST SERIES - Volume #449 - WILLIAM GIRDLER

ABBY will probably never be on DVD since Warner sued UA back in the day to get it pulled from theaters and that lawsuit has also led to it never being released on home video. However :cough: check Amazon :cough:
