Big Bad Buisness Tourney!

Thought this might be a fun idea for a movie-related tourney: pit the biggest and baddest fictional companies against each other and see which one is left standing! I'll start everyone off with two picks, no seconds necessary. Just to clarify: I'm looking for evil companies as seen in the movies.

My picks: Omni Consumer Products (from Robocop) and Hybra-Tech (from Return of the Living Dead: Necropolis). Please give the name of the company and the title of the movie it's from. Hopefully we can get at least sixteen. Buy stock now!

Go here if you need a memory jog.

The List

Biffco (Back to the Future II)
Central Services (Brazil)
Cyberdyne Systems (Terminator)
Hybra-Tech (Return of the Living Dead: Necropolis)
Omni Consumer Products (Robocop)
Umbrella Corporation (Resident Evil)
Wolfram & Hart (Angel tv series)
Weyland-Yutani (Alien)

Re: Big Bad Buisness Tourney!

I'll play.

Umbrella from the Resident Evil films (although my criteria is based more from the games....sue me)

Cyberdyne Systems from the Terminator movies.

You said fictional companies. Do they have to be from a movie? If not, I pick Wolfram & Hart, the all too realistic law firm from Angel.

I'll be back with my second pick, or two more if needed.

My second is, the company from the Alien series. For the life of me I can't remember it's name right now, but it will come to me, or someone else will remind me.

That would be Weyland-Yutani. I guess Wolfram & Hart is acceptable though I was going primarily for fictitious companies from the movies. Angel was probably popular enough though.

Adding a couple more:

Biffco from Back to the Future II and Central Services from Brazil.

Where the heck is everyone else?

I'm here, but while I can think of some movies to nominate (e.g., Parallax View, etc.), I can't recall the name of the businesses, and haven't had time to look them up. Maybe this weekend. If you're going to allow tv, then Burns' power plant from the Simpson has to be a nominee.

I was thinking of nominating Central Services, but aren't they a government organization, not a company?

I was thinking the same thing. And if they qualify, the Ministry of Information is far worse than Central Services.

I was thinking the same thing. I don't know, I'll leave it in for now, if we get more picks I might ditch it.
