Your Favorite 80's Hair Bands

I am putting together a 2-3 disc set of the best hair bands and I am looking for suggestions of bands and their most popular songs.

One of my all-time favorite bands is Heart. I prefered their harder-edged seventies sound, but they made a big comeback in the eighties--and their hair was very big--both the Wilson sisters as well as the male band members.

Their biggest hits during that period were What About Love, Never, These Dreams, Nothin' At All, Alone, Who Will You Run To, and There's The Girl. (All I Wanna Do was also a big hit but that was 1990.)

Have fun

Tom

I don't know if I would call them a "Hairband", but to this very day, I LOVE 'Def Leppard'!

I will avoid many of the bands I expect to see listed here. Don't forget some of these.

Bulletboys
Kix
Loudness
Ratt

------------------
The Dark Tower

Fearless Vampire Killers (1967)?

mmmm... hair bands

Stryper is by far the best, black and gold tights with giant salads and God rock to boost.

and honorable mention goes to:

Petra
White Lion
Cinderella

DISCLAIMER:
a hobby of mine is doing jigsaw puzzles of old hair bands and my choices have no basis on musical ability but how cool their puzzles are.

3. Anthrax ([more thrash than hair] Among The Living)
4. Britney Fox (Girl School)
5. Slaughter (Up All Night)
6. Overkill (We Don't Care What You Say, Fuck You!)
7. Xentrix (Running White-Faced City Boy)

PS: Petra and Styper are god bands.

I'll second this, unlike a lot of hair bands, Iron Maiden has REAL talent!!! And would not associate Iron Maiden with any "Hair" Band!!
