What Actor Gave The Best Perfomance of All Time?

My vote goes to Robert De Niro for his incredible performance in Raging Bull. Acting just doesn't get any better than that!

While I do like DeNiro in Raging Bull and he is one of my favorite actors ... I like all actors that make me forget about them and totally immerse me into their characters.

Some that come to mind ...

Harvey Keitel in BAD LIEUTENANT
Edward Norton in AMERICAN HISTORY X
Tom Hanks in FORREST GUMP

and some oddball stuff like

Mike Myers as AUSTIN POWERS

I thought that Hanks was fantastic in Philadelphia. Daniel Day Lewis was also extremely good the same year in In the Name of the Father.
