Re: The Best Film of 2005 Tournament
Another situation where I can finally vote, only to find that I like both films. Therefore, just cause it's losing badly,
Harry Potter
"Movies should be like amusement parks. People should go to them to have fun." - Billy Wilder
"Subtitles good. Hollywood bad." - Tarzan, Sight & Sound 2012 voter.
"My films are not slices of life, they are pieces of cake." - Alfred Hitchcock
"My great humility is just one of the many reasons that I am vastly superior to everyone else." - Ramrod Clerk

Re: The Best Film of 2005 Tournament
Advancing...
The Chronicles of Narnia over Harry Potter - 6-2 (including my vote)
Cache over Look at Me - 2-1 (I'll break the tie for Cache. Liked Look at Me very much, but Cache was one of my favorites of the year)
Proof over The Constant Gardner - 3-2 (Proof keeps chugging along. Not sure why but I just can't get up any enthusiasm to see this.)
Brokeback Mountain over Junebug - 6-1 (including my vote)
Round #3 Continues

Re: The Best Film of 2005 Tournament
Another painful vote, but
Star Wars
"Movies should be like amusement parks. People should go to them to have fun." - Billy Wilder
"Subtitles good. Hollywood bad." - Tarzan, Sight & Sound 2012 voter.
"My films are not slices of life, they are pieces of cake." - Alfred Hitchcock
