Chinatown for me.
Last Temptation is great, too, but being during Scorsese's crazy 80's phase, isn't quite as coordinated as it could have been. Besides... the crusifiction scene is shot-for-shot a duplication from the John Carradine crusafiction in Boxcar Bertha.
Chinatown is so immersive and elegant, but also has that pain-crazed Polanski focus. Loving it.
