In order of merit:
1.WAKE OF THE RED WITCH (1948) ***
2.THE MAN WHO RECLAIMED HIS HEAD (1934) ***
3.THE LAST GANGSTER (1937) ***
The three films I've watched (the second just a few moments ago ) are fine, though he was a journeyman director at best. I wouldn't mind watching his other films with John Wayne, though they're very rarely - if ever - screened...nor, for that matter, THE BLACK SCORPION (1957) which, surprisingly, has been released on DVD by Warners.
