Moulin Rouge! (2001) - It's grown on me. I watched it again a few weeks ago and I just loved it.
William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet (1996) - Same thing here. Watched both this and the Zeffirelli in the same weekend recently. They are both pretty great.
Strictly Ballroom (1992) 1/2

I own them all.

I can see why someone would say that, but it's not really true. The rapid cuts do annoy me a little (less than they did at first) but, there is a lot more to what makes "MTV" vapid than simply rapid cuts.

They flutter behind you, your possible pasts.
Some bright-eyed and crazy, some frightened and lost.
