The Matrix Revolutions (2003)
The Matrix Reloaded (2003)
The Matrix (1999)
Bound (1996)

I like the Matrix sequels more now than I did when I first saw them 2 years ago, I remember being disappointed with Revolutions at first viewing, thinking thats it? This entire saga all boils down to Neo and Agent Smith beating the crap out of each other for 20 minutes? But after perusing the contents of the superb Matrix box set and several dvd viewings later I appreciate the trilogy a whole lot more now, the first Matrix in particular is an all time favorite of mine.

Rankings

1)The Matrix
2)Matrix Reloaded
3)Matrix Revolutions
4)Bound

Average Rating 4 out of 5

Rank order:

The Matrix (1999)

The Matrix was a major disappointment, and could have been a much, much better film. I've never felt any desire to check out the sequels.

"Movies should be like amusement parks. People should go to them to have fun." - Billy Wilder

"Subtitles good. Hollywood bad." - Tarzan, Sight & Sound 2012 voter.

"My films are not slices of life, they are pieces of cake." - Alfred Hitchcock

The Lakers may have sucked this year, but at least they didn't suck as much as the Spurs.

You aren't missing anything George.

1. Speed Racer - B+
*2. The Matrix - B+

3. Bound - B
4. The Matrix Revolutions - C+ (the first half is a pretty good action movie, but they keep cutting back to all the miserable Keanu gobbledygook)
5. The Matrix Reloaded - D

Out of 4 stars:

The Matrix: 1/2
The Matrix Reloaded:
I was so disappointed in the sequel that I passed up Revolutions when I saw it for 5 bucks used. I may eventually cave, because I'm a bit of a neurotic...I mean completist when it comes to such matters.
