How the mighty have fallen, McTiernan started so well with the triple whammy of Predator, Die Hard and Hunt for Red October and then sort of fizzled out with some really crappy movies. I enjoyed Thomas Crown Affair though and Basic had such an absurd get-the-fuck-outta-here twist ending I just had to give it an extra star.
