Jim, Showgirls has plenty of nudity, but the film was awful, see it for the nekkid chicks but it's really crap, I wish he'd stick to sci-fi, maybe a version of Showgirls crossed with Total Recall would have been more my taste.

Bill I is shocked (again). I really expected your ratings to be the polar opposite of mine, but looks like you're a bigger Verhoeven fan than I since you've also seen and liked some of his early works.

I'm a huge fan of Vehoeven's gore-drenched sci-fi output. But he seems to have disappeared lately.

I feel the same way. There was a rumored project a few years ago The Crusades with Ahhhnold a.k.a. the Gov, which I was looking forward to. That seems to be in development Hell.
Looks like he's directing a couple of WWII films over the next two years.
Beast of Bataan (2006) (announced)
Zwartboek (2005) (pre-production)
