To be honest I'm also not much of a Davis or Crawford fan either but Davis creeped me out so much in this that it plays like a horror flick more than the sordid melodramas that they're known for.
You should definitely give Attack a try since you're also a Dirty Dozen fan. Not as much comedy as DD but it's still a grade A War film.

1. The Dirty Dozen - B+ (need to see this again as I watched a bit on TCM a couple of nights ago and was enjoying even more than I did the first time around)
Own: 0
Again, would like to see several of his - Attack, Baby Jane, Kiss Me Deadly, The Longest Yard (even though the Sports Guy spoiled the ending in his column this week. My own fault for reading it) and Emperor of the North Pole.
I know what I'm gonna do tomorrow, and the next day, and the next year, and the year after that. - George Bailey
2002 Sight & Sound Challenge: 313 Last Watched: Time of the Gypsies
Last 10 Films Watched:

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - C+ / Brand Upon the Brain! - B+
