Best Movie, actor and perfomance of all time?
I have a hard time narrowing down my very favourite movie. I would have to say Contact, then TOOTSIE. I think the best actor would definately be Dustin Hoffman (although he was in this terrible movie I saw on tv about some sort of killer virus that was destroying a town) and my favourite performance would also be by Dustin Hoffman in Tootsie.(although his performance in The Graduate and Rain Man are also close behind)
What does everone else think is the greatest of all???

** so many great performances out there that picking only 1 is almost unfair.

I try to keep my "favorites" and my opinion of the "greatest" seperate so I'll go with the "greatest" here since that was the question.
Those Ernest picked were all #2 on my list.
Movie: On the Waterfront
Actor: Marlon Brando
Performance: Brando (Last Tango in Paris)

This is a hard question to answer. I haven't seen every movie every made. Questions like this also seem to be more of a " what was your favorite" type of thing.
I don't know I'll have to think about it longer.

Always a great topic for some arguments. I don't know if you can consider them all time greats but off the top of my head 2 performances that really affected me were Ed Norton in Primal Fear and Tom Cruise in Magnolia. I really feel that that was Cruise's best performance in a career that has had quite a few good ones.

Movie: The Apartment
Actor: Jack Lemmon (though I could easily list lots of others here)
Performance: Orson Welles in Citizen Kane (though again, I could easily list lots of others here)

I have yet to see lots of classics (Casablanca, 2001, Gone With the Wind, Citizen Kane, Lawrence of Arabia, The Godfather Trilogy, etc.), so keep that in mind:
Movie: Traffic
Actor: No particular favorite
Actress: Julianne Moore
Performance (absolutely no doubt): Peter Sarsgaard (Shattered Glass)
The man I loved - the man who vanished - he never came back at all. But maybe he's still out there, somewhere. Maybe some day, when Gotham no longer needs Batman, I'll see him again.

I abstain on the first 2 questions, but the Best Performance of All Time is Giulietta Masina in Nights of Cabiria
