Ric, Fando & Lis is out because the US rights are not held by Allen Klein. He holds the rights to El Topo in the US and refuses to allow a release. An Italian DVD is available.

Actually, I was aware of Klein's ownership of the film, but I'd REALLY like to know what he has against it. He only bought the rights because John Lennon LOVED El Topo and recommended he pick it up. So why the resentment now?? Did Jodorodsky rub him the wrong way or something?? Just stick it out there in fullscreen mono for all I care, or maybe it's because he's afraid he might make a little money??
