New Digital Camera

Finally bought a Digital Camera. It's a Nikon 4 megapixel, model 4600.

Eventually I will get some pictures up of my Theater but in the meantime I want to buy some of that cool software that lets you do all sorts of neat and silly stuff with the pictures you take.

Any recommendations? What should it cost?

Thanks

I don't know much about software (beyond your average Photoshopping tasks)but I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on how useful/easy-to-use the camera is. I plan on buying the exact same model for my birthday in about 6 weeks.

Depends exactly what you want to do with images Jim. Google's free Picassa has basic editing facilities which are OK.

David seems simple enough. We bought a 512 card and some Lithium batteries, put it on auto, and started shooting.

Rob, picasa looks good. But I'm looking for that type of software that lets you put mustaches on people or put the person's head on a funny body. That kind of silly stuff.
