SVS is sending Houston HT Group member Wayne Pflughaupt a set of their new surround system speakers to review, along with a sub, the PSB12-NSD. From what they tell us, it's possible there will be a SB-12 Plus sub coming as well. So here's a rare chance for a few people to get a live demo of these speakers. Wayne cautions us that we need to keep in mind that the speakers are the focus of this meet, not his (and these are his words) “hopelessly outdated system”! Chances are pretty good it will sound great. In addition, we anticipate having a couple of special out-of-town guests representing SVS. (You'd probably recognize at least one of the names, probably both.)
Due to space constraints, we'll have to limit attendance to ten people –the first ones to RSVP, of course. (The two special guests do not count against that limit.) The time and date is SATURDAY AUGUST 26 at 10:00 am.
There will be no need to go out to a restaurant for lunch – Wayne’s wife will have a fabulous deli sandwich spread for us, with all the fixin's. Although the Pflughaupts will accept reasonable donations to help them defray the cost of the food (e.g., whatever you think is right, but no more than you’d spend on lunch elsewhere), they say did not even think of asking that until a member suggested it in earlier online discussion about the pending meet. It will NOT be a “requirement” for attendance, although it would certainly be a nice gesture.
