2005 National meet? Is it gonna happen?

I am located in Canada and finally have time this fall to
do a meet or the the home theater cruise.
I would prefer the meet at this time as I haven't been to the Los Angeles area before so would love a chance to visit the studios and so on.

I know it's early in the year but I want to make sure i book time off so i don't get screwed out of not being able to attend.

Dan

Current Home System.

Yeah,

I'm in the same boat with you Dan. My wife and I would like to participate in the meet this year, but to do so I have to make my preparations now.

Hope we can get some word soon.

The last rumbling I heard was to do a cruise and have it more like friends hanging out, which of course would involve watching movies and such, but not necessarily HT intensive workshops or industry visits. I'm not sure how well this would fly, but we also wouldn't want to wear out our welcome with the studios. It's a drop in the bucket financially for the studios to do that kind of promotion, but there is some dignity to be maintained by not seeming like "goodie bag whores."

We are still talking about doing a Home
Theater Forum cruise but that will probably
not happen until 2006.

Many staff members are cruising later this
year and perhaps we will open things up for
a simple invite to hang out.

As far as another National Meet with the
studios? You are correct in saying that we
really don't want to come across as "goodie
bag whores" so we won't even think about another
one until next year at the earliest.

Thanks for asking. Hope you will make it out
to a future HTF event. Would love to meet you.

Thanks for the update Ron. I can certainly understand the reason to wait. No one wants to be a smoozer. I now know that I can go ahead and make other plans for later this year.

I look forward to doing the National Studio Meet some day in the future. Sounds like everyone always has so much fun.
