I've been seriously OOP this past week as well, and even had to miss our monthly RR poker tourny, but I am hoping I can relax this weekend and would really enjoy a nice game of poker over at Hanks.

Jennifer and I have plans Saturday, and are headed to Six Flags on Sunday. Have fun without us.

Doc, you and Jennifer comitted to Halloween night. AAMOF, you were the only two who committed. Okay, everything is called off, UNLESS enough people post for a poker game tonight.

Uh, Hank, you called off the movie a couple of days ago. We made plans to go to Six Flags as a back up.

Uh, Jonathan, here's what I posted:

I'm calling off the Haloween horror movie event, but if anyone wants to come over and socialize, they are most certainly welcome. Also, if enough people commit, I'll gladly host a socializing/poker night Saturday.

Sorry for the confusion, but I was still considering you two as commitments; I was just giving up on everyone else. I'm still puzzled that no one in our supposedly large movie buff group wants to do hardly any movie nights anymore. Seems like out-of-the-house interest has migrated to poker. I'm okay with that.
News: Nils has a scheme to turn his third garage bay into a "rear projection TV" setup. I swear, he called from his car this morning as he set out to scour the city for this special painters' dropcloth that supposedly makes a good rear projection screen (he'd read about it on AVS). So, I may be helping him fabricate and hang the screen and watching "Nightmare Before Christmas" with the other kids tomorrow night.
Y'all have a good trip to Big D!

Attention all DIY's, was wondering if someone might be interested in making a couple of extra bucks. I need a arm rest built for my Hold em table, you know the kind that wraps around the table w/ foam padding etc... would build it myself but, well I don't know how and I don't have the tools to do it. The friend of mine that built the table for me is pretty busy right now so I thought I might swing this idea by you guys. Wish I could post the pic of the table on this site, b/c it's pretty sweet.

I can't make the Halloween night, got to spend that night with the kids. But I probably could do a poker night fri or sat. Maybe we could cook up some cables for my new equipment.

I've offered to help Greg with the installation and calibration of the AE700 into his folk's new dedicated home theater and during that conversation Greg hinted that he might be able to host a poker night at the folk's house (a beautiful private estate in the Barton Creek Hills) - so perhaps we can warm him up to the idea, and schedule the installation/calibration the same night such that after we set-up and tweak the projector we can have a fun game of cards.
At least for now, the only night that wont work for me is Thursday night, but both Wednesday and Friday night are currently open.
Greg is very busy with the store thus he doesn't always check the threads so I'll call him up and feel him out for if and when we might be able to put this gathering together.
I do hope this works out as I have been so busy lately that I have missed several various poker games/tournaments these last few weeks and would welcome the opportunity to relax and hang out with my fellow HTers.

Afraid I'm busy with Mirus this week; won't be able to make it regardless of the night.
