How about each attendee gets one or two fo their favorite 5 minute selections off of DVD? Things like the Lobby Scene in The Matrix come to mind (I know its kinda tired but I love the way that scene went and its one of my favs) .:b . Lets all put something out there and see what people think. If we can settle the list then each host can make sure they have the material or someone coming will. This will also allow the host to know whats next rather than having to query the crowd every ten minutes throughout the demo. Everything would run smoother, and then once the list is completed we they can take specific requests.
I'd also chip in that it would be nice to start seeing some HD out there if the hosts have the capability.

Panasonic AE900 720P, 120" Screen, PS3 Blu-Ray, HK AVR635, 7 Mirus Audio Debrios, 2 Soundbridge Subs (for now), Oppo DVD, all in the Smallest HT in Austin (that I know of) at 10x11 feet.

We won't have time to allow that many selections Humphrey, but I am sure we can come up with 3-6 scenes that test a system throughly enough.
I am no expert on what's the best HT test stuff going these days, but I would imagine it includes stuff off these suspects:
Monsters, Inc.
Finding Nemo
Star Wars 2
Master & Commander
Fifth Element
some Matrix movie
LOTR
Jacob, Weekend at Bernie's??? Lol, even if it is you better have a very good technical reason why to be putting movie trash like that into someone's DVD palyer.

Scott- I think Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo, Star Wars 2:Electric Boogaloo, and Master & Commander would be smart. There are some good scenes in all of them, plus the DTS discs are cool.
I was kidding about Weekend At Bernies, I was just throwing in something crazy to see if anyone would notice.
Master & Commander has some amazing surround detail. A more interesting choice would be "The Others," which has some very cool surround effects. Plus that Nicole Kidman is easy on the eyes.
The THX Ultimate Demo Disc is bad-ass, I might be able to beg someone I know for it, or maybe someone here has it.

I didn't mean to say we should allow 2 hours at each location, but 5-10 mins of material specific to what that person/couple wants to see or hear would be about 30-45 minutes at each location right?
Everything I've seen mentioned so far is placing the emphasis on the sound system experience. I lean more to the video side of the equation and like to see what the projectors each host has will do in their installation. Audio I know will excel in most if not all the locations. Whatever ya'll decide.
Scott - Fifth Element has some good scenes, one of my favs as well.
