While I find Celine Dion all kinds of irritating I would say that version.

Both, however, border on blasphemy...

I'd say the Shania Twain one only because it tries to be different (a country twist to the song) and has Alison Krauss. Not a fan of Shania's singing though.

Celine Dion's version doesn't do anything different really except exponentially suck, and the fact that Celine Dion is singing is never a good thing.

That said, not a fan of either myself. Truth be told, I'm sick of hearing the original as well.

Neither. They're both just so very wrong.

I'm about with Marc. I don't like either cover, and the original is getting a little rickety. I've seen two reactions to the Dion cover. Some think it's earbleedingly bad and a horrible joke. Others say, "I don't like Celine Dion, but it's a pretty decent, straightforward cover." I say, I don't want to ever have to hear it again.

I thought Maroon 5 also covered this in concert...

How about the cover by Six Feet Under?

Along the same lines of this thread, I once sampled a few tunes off a Bluegrass band's cover of Van Halen. Some weren't too bad.....

There was a whole album of bluegrass Van Halen covers recently -- I think David Lee Roth was involved.

Some Bluegrass is good stuff, unlike that colorless pop that passes for most "Country" music these days.

I think I would rather take any of the Final Destination deaths than either one of those covers.

Yes he sings on a few of the songs. I came to really appreciate Bluegrass over the past few years. I was in a punkabilly band and listened to alot of bluegrass as homework and learned to love the stuff.

I know Im prob out of line here, I LOVE old AC/DC but never cared for this song.
