Select Classical SACDs 75% off at Borders!

Felt this merited a separate public service announcement. I bought a $30 Pentatone 2 SACD set of Beaux Arts Trio for $7.50. They also had a MTT Mahler 6 for 75% off. I've seen this at two different Borders (for you locals the Buckhead store is wiped out now, check Ponce location ).

A real beautiful sight to see Super Audio at 75% off.

Well no luck in Boise.

The clerk - and then the store manager - said they didn't even know what Sack-Dee was and that they were sure they didn't carry them.

I went over to the Mahler bin and produced the Mercury SACD of Das Lied and the MTT 5th and showed it to them, pointing out that the "Greatful Dead" logo was script for SACD. I then had to give them a primer in DVD-A/Sack-Dee.

But no bargains. They didn't show any SACD titles on sale. The MTT Mahler 5th was priced at $25.

Found an Anonymous 4 SACD on sale for $5.25 today. Woohoo!
